Buckle Up for Nora
Ten years ago, Ed and Heidi from California, suffered an unimaginable loss when their 9-month-old daughter, Nora, died in a car crash on the way home from a family vacation. Read their story and hear about their mission to make sure all kids ride home safely.
New Research
Today, we released new info that could help protect kids in cars. The results may surprise you. In a survey of more than 1,000 parents, 1 in 4 say they’ve driven without buckling up their kids.
But here’s where it gets even more interesting: Our research found that younger, more educated and affluent parents are more likely to take a risk and ride with their kids unbuckled in a car. Read the research report to learn more about this troubling new trend and what you can do to fix it.
Seat Check Saturday
Each year, Safe Kids hosts more than 8,000 car seat check-up events. During Child Passenger Safety Week, Safe Kids will host more than 500 events across the country culminating on Saturday, September 21 or “Seat Check Saturday.”
Find a car seat checkup event in your area this week, or anytime during the year, where a nationally certified child passenger safety technician can help provide one-on-one instruction on installing your car and booster seats.
