Description

The Safe Kids Worldwide Research Department is currently accepting internship applications from current undergraduate or master’s students or recent graduates interested in public health or social sciences, who have a strong interest in child safety and child health initiatives. This is a hands-on, proactive internship where you will assist in research-related activities and see that research translated into education efforts, news, and other channels. Our organization is fast-paced, and a can-do attitude is essential. The internship is a great opportunity to gain real-world professional and public health experience.

This is an unpaid internship; however, a transportation stipend will be provided to those working on-site and academic credit can be earned as determined by the regulations of your school's academic office.

Location

Option for fully remote or hybrid (in the office one day per week, remote other days). Our office is in Silver Spring, MD.

Time Commitment

Internships require a minimum 3-month commitment. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to be part of a part-time (about 24 hours/week) or full-time (up to 40 hours/week) internship during the spring, summer or fall semesters (see How to Apply below for a listing of tentative application deadlines and start dates).
