11.20.2014 CPSC: We reported the recall of Graco strollers, 11 models, in the last report but wanted to provide a special alert about it. The design may cause a finger amputation hazard. There were reports of finger injuries, including the amputation of fingertips. The folding hinge on the sides of the stroller can pinch a child's finger, posing a laceration or amputation hazard. Nearly 5 million strollers are affected in the U.S. and about 200,000 in Canada. The strollers were sold at Target, Toys R Us, Walmart and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and other online retailers from August 2000 through November 2014. 12.17.2014 CPSC:  Wegmans Food is voluntarily recalling Moody Face Stress Balls due to choking hazard. These rubber stress balls can break into pieces when squeezed, posing a choking hazard to young children. Nearly 7,000 units are affected in the U.S. The stress balls were sold exclusively at Wegmans in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia during September 2014.

12.31.2014 USDA: B. Robert’s Foods is voluntarily recalling its chicken noodle soup due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. However, the product was released with a Chicken and Wild Rice Soup side label, which does not declare this allergen. 

12.30.2014 FDA: John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (JBSS) is voluntarily recalling Fisher 8 oz. Chopped Walnuts and Fisher 8 oz. Pecan Cookie Pieces packaged in plastic bags. Some of these products may be contaminated with Salmonella.

12.29.2014 FDA: TEN BC LLC is voluntarily recalling its packages of "Tommy’s Superfoods Santa Fe Rice" due to undeclared peanuts.

12.29.2014 FDA: Great Feeling Foods is voluntarily recalling all Groove Gluten-free Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches produced between May 16, 2014 and December 20, 2014 due to an undeclared food allergen.

12.24.2014 FDA: Farm Country Cheese House is voluntarily recalling Raw Milk Cheddar due to potential contamination with Listeria Monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

12.23.2014 CPSC: Keurig is voluntarily recalling MINI Plus brewing systems. The water can overheat during brewing, spray out and cause burns. Units: 6.6 million in the U.S. and 564,000 in Canada.

12.22.2014 CPSC: James Trading Group is voluntarily recalling Croker kids fleece panel hoodie due to strangulation hazard from drawstring around the neck. Units: 1,113.

12.23.2014 USDA: Katadyn North American Foods, LLC is voluntarily recalling spicy sausage products due to misbranding about the contents of pork rather than beef.

12.19.2014 CPSC: Comfort Research is voluntarily recalling vinyl bean bag chairs due to risk of entrapment and suffocation because the zippers can be opened by children who can crawl inside and become entrapped. Units: 125,000.

12.19.2014 FDA: Reily Foods Co. is voluntarily recalling Carroll Shelby and Wick Fowler brand chili seasoning kits due to undeclared food allergen.

12.19.2014 CPSC: BPR is voluntarily recalling Ski-Doo and Can-Am Kids hoodies due to strangulation hazard from the drawstring around the neck area. Units: 3,100 in the U.S. and 5,100 in Canada.

12.19.2014 FDA: Perfect Bar is voluntarily recalling its Peanut Butter and Cranberry Crunch flavor recipes due to potential contamination of Salmonella.

12.18.2014 CPSC: Kiddie Korral is voluntarily recalling girls hoodies with ponies due to strangulation hazard from the drawstring in the hood. Units: 2,300.

12.18.2014 CPSC: Yamaha is voluntarily recalling YZ250 competition off-road motorcycles due to risk of injury or even death because the engine can lock up during operation causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Units: 875.

12.18.2014 FDA: Zachary Confections, Inc is voluntarily recalling Market Pantry Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds, sold exclusively at Target, because they include an undeclared food allergen.

12.18.2014 CPSC: Giggles International is voluntarily recalling animated money toy because the battery compartment can reach temperatures up to 230 degrees Fahrenheit, posing a burn hazard. They are sold exclusively at Cracker Barrel Old Country stores. Units: 13,000.

12.18.2014 CPSC: Schneider Electric is voluntarily recalling PowerPact J-Frame circuit breakers due to fire, burn, and electrical shock hazards. Units: 62,500.

12.16.2014 CPSC: WindowTex is voluntarily recalling custom roller shades because a steel pin can become dislodged and cause the shade to fall from the mounting bracket, creating an injury risk. Units: 6,800.

12.12.2014 CPSC: UVEX Sports is voluntarily recalling its bicycle helmets due to risk of head injury because the anchor for the helmet's chin strap can fail, causing the helmets to slide off the head. Units: 46,800.

12.10.2014: FDA Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. is voluntary recalling all its fresh cut fruit containing Gala red apples, because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

12.10.2014 CPSC: GCI Outdoor is voluntarily recalling its stadium seats because the backrest can fail, causing injury. Units: 6,000.

12.09.2014 CPSC: Lenovo is voluntarily recalling its computer power cords which can overheat and cause fire and burn hazards. Units: 500,000 in the U.S. and 44,000 in Canada.

12.09.2014 CPSC: Dream on Me is voluntarily recalling its Incredible Play Yards due to strangulation hazard because the rails may collapse. Units: 10,000.

12.09.2014 FDA: Whalen's Horseradish Products, Inc., is voluntarily recalling Whalen's Seafood & Burger Sauce, because it contains an undeclared allergen.

12.05.2014 FDA: Safeway is voluntarily recalling Safeway Select French Salted Caramel (Fleur De Sel) Premium Ice Cream because of an undeclared peanut allergen.

12.04.2014 FDA: Abdallah Candies is voluntarily recalling red and silver foil wrapped Holiday Caramel Bites because of an undeclared peanut butter allergen.

12.04.2014 USDA: Real Foods LLC, is voluntarily recalling Chef Salad with Ham and Turkey due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. Units: 308 lbs.

12.04.2014 CPSC: Hobby Lobby is voluntarily recalling HobbyZone Super Club S Radio-Controlled aircraft because the power supply units can overcharge the battery causing a fire hazard. Units: 6,800.

12.04.2014 USDA: Quality Meats, Inc., is voluntarily recalling frozen pork belly products because they were not presented at the border for USDA-FSIS import inspection. Units: 44,372 lbs.

12.04.2014 CPSC: Salsa Cycles is voluntarily recalling its bicycle forks due to risk of fall hazard because it can bend or break. Units: 2,500.

12.03.2014 FDA: Overhill Farms, Inc. is voluntarily recalling the frozen food product Open Nature Chile Cheese Enchiladas due to potential Salmonella contamination.

12.02.2014 CPSC: Daikin is voluntarily recalling steamer air purifiers because the circuit board and overheat and cause the air purifier to catch on fire. Units: 625 in the U.S. and 125 in Canada.

12.02.2014 CPSC: Felt Bicycles is voluntarily recalling its Cylcocross because the frame of the bicycle may break casing the rider to lose control, fall, and suffer injuries. Units: about 150 in the U.S.

12.01.2014 FDA: Whole Foods Market is voluntarily recalling "Tarte Aux Pommes" because of undeclared almonds.

12.01.2014 FDA: House of Flavors, Inc., is voluntary recalling Ciao Bella Dark Cocoa Sorbet because of an undeclared dairy allergen.
