11.20.2014 CPSC:Graco is voluntarily recalling 11 models of strollers due to finger amputation hazard. There were reports of finger injuries, including the amputation of fingertips. The folding hinge on the sides of the stroller can pinch a child’s finger, posing a laceration or amputation hazard. Nearly 5 million strollers are affected in the U.S. and about 200,000 in Canada. The strollers were sold at Target, Toys R Us, Walmart and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and other online retailers from August 2000 through November 2014. To see if your stroller model number is affected, please visit this website.

11.26.2014 FDA:Whole Foods is recalling vegan pumpkin pie for failing to state that walnuts are in the product.

11.25.2014 CPSC:Goal Zero is voluntarily recalling its battery packs which can overcharge, overheat, bulge and melt causing a fire hazard. Units: 10,000

11.25.2014 CPSC: Pro Armor is voluntarily recalling the doors for Polaris RZR 800 and 900 utility vehicles because the latch pin can separate and allow the door to open when the vehicle is moving. This poses a risk of ejection of an unrestrained rider causing impact or laceration injuries. Units: 300

11.25.2014 FDA:Henry’s Farm is recalling packages of soybean sprouts  contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

11.24.2014 FDA:Kroger said today is voluntarily recalling containers of Private Selection Denali Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream because it may contain peanuts not listed on the label.

11.22.2014 USDA: Ranchers Legacy Meat Co., is voluntarily recalling its ground beef products that may be contaminated with Ecoli O157:H7. Units: approximately 1,200 pounds.

11.21.2014 FDA:Flying Cow Creamery is voluntarily recalling whole milk yogurt because of faulty pasteurization, presenting a risk of Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella poisoning.

11.20.2014 CPSC:Bob-Cat is voluntarily recalling Zero Turn Mowers due to crash hazard. The steering control arm component can break under normal use, causing driver to lose control and crash. Units: About 4,900.

11.20.2014 FDA: Kozy Shack Enterprises, LLC is voluntarily recalling its Foodservice Kozy Shack® Simply Well® Chocolate Pudding 4 oz. cups because they contain undeclared milk and lack product labeling.

11.20.2014 FDA:Evershing International Trading is voluntarily recalling Vinacafe Brand Wake Up Weasel Instant Coffee mix 3‐in‐1 after learning that the product may contain Sodium Caseinate ( a Milk derivative), a Milk allergen, and Soy extract, a Soy Allergen, that is not declared on the products' ingredient statement.

11.20.2014 CPSC:  Leatherman is voluntarily recalling Children’s Multi-Tool due to laceration hazard. The lock mechanism on the optional knife blade can inadvertently release the blade posing a laceration hazard. Units: About 8,000 in the U.S. and about 400 in Canada.

11.19.2014 CPSC:  Hoppe’s is voluntarily recalling Semi-Auto Bore Cleaner due to failure to meet child-resistant closure requirement. Bottles have a child-resistant cap that can become loose. Chemicals in this product can cause skin irritation, internal injury or death if ingested. Units: About 110,000.

11.19.2014 CPSC:  Mohawk is voluntarily recalling Altitude Gold shag rugs due to fire hazard. The large rugs fail to meet federal standards for flammability and could ignite. The small rugs fail to meet federal labeling requirements in regards to flammability. Sold exclusively at The Home Depot. Units: About 101,000 sold in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and about 2,800 in Canada.

11.19.2014 USDA:Sapar USA, Inc. is voluntarily recalling its sausage products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. Units: approximately 14 pounds.

11.19.2014 USDA: K. Heeps, Inc., is voluntarily recalling its Bratwurst and Bangers sausage products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. Units: approximately 2,902 pounds.

11.19.2014 CPSC:  AP Specialties is voluntarily recalling Power Blank Chargers due to fire hazard. When unit is being charged or being used to charge another device, it can overheat, causing a fire hazard. Units: About 172,000. 

11.18.2014 CPSC:  Black Diamond Equipment is voluntarily recalling Whippet Ski Poles due to risk of injury. The stainless steel pick in the handgrip can break and fail to slow or stop users from sliding downhill on a snow or ice covered slope. Units: About 3,000.

11.18.2014 CPSC:  CoSecentrix is voluntarily recalling DD brand candles due to fire hazard. The candles high flame can ignite the surface of the wax, posing a fire hazard. Units: About 256,000.

11.18.2014 USDA:City Line Foods Manufacturing Co. is voluntarily recalling an additional 12,282 pounds of frozen pretzel hot dog products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. This brings the total pounds of product recalled to 1,208,951 pounds. The products contain soy lecithin, a known allergen which is not declared on the product label.

11.17.2014 FDA:  Solgar, Inc. is voluntarily recalling ABC Dolphilus Powder Dietary Supplement. The product was found to contain a substance than can cause infections. This is a rare infection that can cause health problems to consumers, particularity in premature infants, infants, children and those with weakened immune systems.

11.13.2014 CPSC: Venmar Ventilation is voluntarily recalling its air exchangers due to the possibility of the motor in the air exchangers overheating, posing a fire hazard to consumers. Units: About 108,000 in the United States (an additional 77,500 previously recalled in March 2007, December 2007 and June 2011) and about 207,000 in Canada.

11.13.2014 CPSC: Daesung is voluntarily recalling its tankless water heaters since they can overheat, posing a fire hazard. Units: about 29,000 in the United States and 2,200 in Canada.

11.13.2013 CPSC: Ventamatic is voluntarily recalling Cool Draft misting fans due to the fan’s wiring not properly grounded, posing electric shock and fire hazards. Units: 450.

11.12.2014 CPSC: Aqua Lung is voluntarily recalling Axiomi3 buoyancy compensators due to drowning hazard. The rubber handles can detach as divers are trying to remove the weight pockets to rise to the surface in an emergency. This poses a drowning hazard. Units: 30,000 in the U.S. and about 11,300 in Canada.

11.10.2014 CPSC: McDonalds is voluntarily recalling Hello Kitty Birthday Lollipop toys with whistles sold in Happy Meals due to chocking and aspirations hazards. The whistle can detach from the toy. Units: about 2.3 million in U.S. and about 200,000 in Canada.

11.09.2014 FSIS: Kulana Foods Ltd., is voluntarily recalling frozen, fully cooked pork products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products are formulated with a soy sauce that contains wheat, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label. Units: approximately 4,465 pounds.

11.07.2014 FDA: Marin Foods Specialties, Inc. is voluntarily recalling Organic Raw Almonds (bitter almonds), due to them possibly containing elevated levels of naturally occurring hydrogen cyanide.  

11.06.2014 CPSC: 4Seasons is voluntarily recalling lounge chairs due to fall hazard. The chair can tip or recline to quickly posing a fall hazard. Units: about 3,200.

11.06.2014 FSIS: CS Best Food Inc., is voluntarily recalling pork products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. Units: 6,560 pounds.

11.06.2014 FDA: Schwartz Brothers Bakery is voluntarily recalling “Everything Bagels” because product contains milk but it is not declared as the ingredient on the label.

11.04.2014 FDA: Oasis Brands is voluntarily recalling various Lacteos Santa Martha (dry cheese) dairy products due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. A full list of recalled products can be found online.

11.03.2014 FDA: House of Spices is voluntarily recalling “Laxmi Nutkhhat Golden Raisin” food treats because they contained undeclared sulfites. Consumers who have severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

11.02.2014 FDA: Taylor Farms is voluntarily recalling WAWA Garden Rotini Salad due to the potential of undeclared fish, wheat and egg allergens contained in the salad. Units: about 1,500.
